Objectives

  • Maintain, foster and develop friendship among the members

  • Develop contact with JICA of Japan and various training institutions in Japan with a view to exchange information, materials, etc. of mutual interest.

Activities

  1. Technical Seminars including Lectures, discussions and study meetings Art and handcraft Workshops;
  2. Cultural Programmes;
  3. Annual Get-together;
  4. Excursion Trips;
  5. Welcoming JICA participants from other countries who visit India and send-off parties;
  6. Collection and circulation of printed technical and other material on various topics, received from JICA, to members of the Association;
  7. Compilation and upkeep of a comprehensive directory of the members;
  8. Co-ordination with JICA India Office and Other Japanese Organisations in arranging various cultural exchange programmes;
  9. Publication of JAAI Magazine ‘Sahyog’;
  10. To provide a forum for interaction for ex-JICA participants.
Any other activities that are regarded as serving the purpose of the Association; and make suggestions to Government regarding arrangements for technical training in Japan under JICA programme from time to time
